This component is by far the best!!! I knew the old one, was a little tricky but I successfully made it work. With this new one, it is pure pleasure. I had to tell you thank you for this great addon.

JForce PM has been written from the ground up to provide the best possible platform to manage your projects. We've taken cues from some of the industry leaders and combined features and ideas to build a one-of-a-kind phenomenal project management system that can be installed and run within your Joomla! website. Some of the features of this extension are listed below.

  • Project Centered. JForce PM focuses around project management. This means that all quotes, invoices, and tickets are accessible only within a project. This streamlines the interface, clears out some confusion and unifies everything within the system.
  • Access Permissions. JForce PM has written an access permissions system that is intuitive and user-friendly. Tooltips ensure that you can quickly understand what a setting is and how it affects your access role. No more guessing or struggling to setup roles for your users, employees, managers, and admins.
    • Project Only
This setting will restrict the user to only see projects that they are assigned to. Within a project the project-specific setting will take effect (the slider settings under 'Project'). This setting does not apply to Events, People, or Companies. Also, if the user has project only set, then this overrides the Assignment Only and Company Only within a project
    • Company Only
This setting will restrict the user to only see items related to their own company.
    • Assignment Only
This is now a global setting. Users will only see items that are assigned to them (or that they have created).
    • Can Create Categories
This setting allows the user to create new categories from the front end.
    • Can Assign
This setting allows the user to assign people to items.
    • Private Objects
This setting allows the user to see items marked as private
    • Security LevelThis setting determines whether or not this user can define or modify the access roles of another user. For example, User A can modify User B's access role if User A has a security level with a numeric value lower than that of User B. (Admins should have security level 1 which has no restrictions)

  • Auto-Completer. JForce PM implements amazing AJAX auto-complete fields that allow you to either quickly jump to a specific item, select an item from a list, or create a new item (if your permissions allow) without leaving the screen you're on.
  • Time Tracker. JForce PM makes extensive use of time tracking and has fully integrated the time tracker with tasks, as well as invoicing. You can also create highly customizable time-reports based on settings you define.
  • Checklists. In an effort to simply the system checklists have been removed. Tasks are now independently associated with projects and can be grouped into categories.
  • Email Submissions. JForce PM allows users to submit tickets directly from email into the system. You can also reply to tickets directly from your email and it will be added to the ticket as a comment! Not only can you handle tickets this way but we've set it up so that you can do this with discussions too!
    • Necessary Setup
You will need to define an email address as well as username and password to access this account in your JForce admin section. This is fairly straightforward and should be a generic email account that is used only for this service.
    • Email Requirements
Because the system has to know some basic items from your email to parse it correctly we have instituted the following. First, you will need to send the email from an email account that is registered with JForce (as a JForce person). Secondly, if you are submitting a ticket you will need to use the following tag in your email subject line - [P1T] This will create a new Ticket on Project 1. Substituting a "D" for the "T" so that it reads [P1D] will create a new Discussion on Project 1. Replying to a ticket or discussion is similar except that you will also need the ticket or discussion ID (not to worry this is included in the email you receive) for example: [P1T3] would place a reply to Ticket 3 on Project 1.
    • Easy to Use
This email submission system is quite simple once you start using it...and so very helpful!
